The Detroit Tigers have really struggled of late, coming off four straight losses. They play Game 1 of a home series versus the Oakland A's tonight, and with a favorable match-up on the mound, this looks like a good spot to back Detroit.

Here are my keys to the game:

1 Pitching - Jordan Zimmerman will go for the Tigers, and he's had a spectacular start to his career in Detroit. Zimmerman (3-0, 0.00 ERA) blanked the Royals through 6.1 innings, striking out eight in his third victory of the season. He has yet to surrender a run, and he faces one of the American League's weakest lineups.

2. Jarrod Saltalamaccia - Salty is off to a great start in Detroit, ranking in the Top 5 in the American league in home runs with six, and RBIs with 15. Those are pretty impressive numbers for a (backup) catcher.

3. X-Factor - Kendall Graveman gets the nod for Oakland, and the A's have lost nine of his last 11 starts.
