Rogers' 10* NFL Game of the Week - Top Play!
(NFL) Philadelphia vs. Chicago,
Point Spread: -3.00 | -120.00 Chicago (Home)
Result: Loss
Philadelphia: Carson Wentz, whom the Eagles selected with No. 2 overall pick in this year's draft after a trade with the Browns, delivered last Sunday in Week 1. The QB out of North Dakota State passed for 278 yards and two TDs to lead his team to a 29-10 win against the Cleveland Browns (how ironic was that?). His 101.0 QB rating was the highest by a Philadelphia rookie since John Reaves in 1972. His jersey shot to No. 1 in NFL online sales but beating the sad-sack Browns is hardly a major accomplishment.

Chicago: The Bears opened the 2016 season by falling in Houston, after leading 14-10 at the half. The Texans were able to come back and win 23-14, as Chicago's offense faltered in a second half that Houston won 13-0. Chicago QB Jay Cutler again got poor protection from the Bears OL, as he was sacked five times (he threw for 216 yards with one TD and a costly interception). WR Kevin White, the Bears' first-round pick in 2015 who missed his entire rookie season because of a stress fracture, made his NFL debut last week but caught only three passes for 34 yards.

The pick: The Eagles' secondary faces many issues after CB Leodis McKelvin sustained a strained left hamstring in Week 1 and is out for Monday night. Philadelphia traded CB Eric Rowe to the New England Patriots before the season opener, which means Nolan Carroll, Ron Brooks and rookie Jalen Mills might need to anchor a thin cornerback group. The Bears won only once at Soldier Field in 2015, en route to a 5-11 record last season but this will be Wentz's first road start. It would hardly be a surprise to see the rookie fall from his high perch of Week 1. Note that the Bears are 9-1 at home versus rookie quarterbacks since 2001. Vice President Joe Biden encouraged President Barack Obama to "get on the Wentz wagon." However, the play here is on the Prez's home team. Chicago is a 10* play.
