Rogers' SURE SHOT >> Won With Wild Last Night!
(NHL) Toronto vs. Boston,
Money Line: -140.00 Boston (Home)
Result: Loss
The set-up: The 10-10-2 Toronto Maple leafs will be in Boston tonight to face the 15-11-2 Bruins. The Leafs are just 2-5-1 in their last eight games, after losing three in a row while scoring a total of just four goals during their three-game skid. Boston, which stumbled through an inexplicable 17-18-6 record at home last season, is suffering home woes again this season. The Bruins dropped to 7-6-0 with a 4-2 loss on Thursday to a visiting Colorado team that had lost its previous four.

Toronto: Head coach Mike Babcock juggled his lines in the third period of Wednesday's 3-2 home loss to the Wild. Toronto failed to produce the tying goal in the final 20 minutes but it dominated Minnesota with a 17-3 edge in shots on goal, so Babcock will go with the same alignment against Boston. Frederick Anderson is slated to start for the Leafs and is 5-0 with a 1.39 goals against average and .956 goals against average lifetime against Boston. The first four of those wins came when Anderson, 10-7-4 this season, was with the Anaheim Ducks, and he allowed just one goal against Boston earlier this season.

Boston: The Bruins failed to qualify for the postseason in 2015-16 and the main culprit was their lack of success at home. It's a trend that has carried over to this season and it has to change, if the Bruins expect to make the playoffs this season. David Pastrnak continues to light up the scoreboard for Boston, netting both goals against Colorado to give him five in his last three games and 18 for the season -- tying Pittsburgh's Sidney Crosby for the league lead.

The pick: Toronto was done in its last game by the league's hottest goaltender, as Minnesota's Devan Dubnyk made 35 saves, 17 of them in the third period, as the Minnesota Wild sent the young Leafs to their third straight loss. Dubnyk leads the NHL with a 1.65 goals against average and now the maple Leafs get Boston's Tuukka Rask. He is third at with a 1.79 GAA and while Dubnyk is on top in save percentage at .946, Rask is sixth at .933. Also, is 15-3-2 with a 1.87 goals-against average versus Toronto in his career. Boston is an 8* play.
