Rogers' Sunday Night SHOWDOWN ('Boys vs. Giants) >> Had Seattle Last Week!
(NFL) Dallas vs. NY Giants,
Total: 47.00 | -105.00 Over
Result: Win
The set-up: The 11-1 Dallas Cowboys have already clinched a playoff spot (first team to do so) and with a win Sunday night in New Jersey over the 8-4 NY Giants, Dallas would clinch the NFC East title. Most may remember (surely Dallas and its fans do)
that the Giants are the only team to beat the Cowboys this season, doing so 20-19 in Week 1. Since that time, Dallas has run off a franchise-record 11 consecutive wins.

Dallas: Fourth-round pick Dak Prescott made his first career start in that Week 1 game and all in all, played fairly well. He completed 25 of 45 passes for 227 yards, without a touchdown or interception. Prescott has progressed considerably since, as he ranks as the NFL's third-ranked QB with a rating of 108.6, completing 67.9% with 19 TDs and just two INTs (in 358 attempts). Fellow rookie, RB Ezekiel Elliott, ran for only 51 yards on 20 carries in his debut in Week 1. However, it remains his lowest total of the season, as Elliott leads the NFL with 1,285 yards (4.9 YPC) while scoring 12 TDs. The Dallas defense has held up its end as well this year, allowing 19.0 PPG to rank 5th

NY Giants: The Giants lost 24-14 last Sunday in Pittsburgh and had trouble containing Le'Veon Bell, who became the first rusher to reach triple digits against them with a 118-yard performance. Eli has had a solid season (3,097 yards / 22 TDs / 12 INTs) and owns a trio of strong WRs. OBJ (75 catches / 8 TDs), Shepard (48 catches / 6 TDs) ands a now-healthy Cruz (27 catches with a a team-high 17.1 YPC) make life miserable for defense but the Giants ‘ lack of a running game hurts this team. Jennings' 414 yards leads the way for a team averaging 77.5 (3.5 YPC) to rank 31st. The improvement on defense has been New York's biggest accomplishment this year, allowing 19.8 PPG (9th), after ranking last in yards allowed in 2015 (420.3 YPG) and giving up 27.6 PPG.

The pick: It sure helps to have an outstanding running game (Dallas ranks 2nd in averaging 155.2 YPG) and a mistake-free QB in Prescott when playing December football games at cold-weather starts. New York's lack of a running game, in turn, puts more pressure on Eli not to make any mistakes. Considering Dallas ranks second in stopping the run (82.2 YPG), the Cowboys own a few edges in this one. However, Dallas can't keep winning them all and this figures to an old-fashioned NFC East slugfest, with the Under being an 8* play.
