Eovaldi is so far 3-4 with a 4.59 ERA. He has looked brilliant at times this year and extremely pedestrian in others. Eovaldi has however been at his absolute best in front of the home town crowd this season by going 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA thus far.
The pick: And take it for what you will, but Miami is a poor 14-17 in its last 31 when playing with three or more days of rest while Tampa is 7-2 in its last nine when playing with three or more days of rest. I like the Rays to take advantage of this favorable matchup and for Eovaldi to out duel his interleague counterpart. Play on Tampa.
