Rogers' 3-Game SWEEPER PASS
(MLB) Cleveland vs. Detroit,
Money Line: -183.00 Cleveland (Away)
Result: Loss
The set-up: This series features a lot of lop-sided match-ups on the mound and this is one of them. The visitors go with the steady Mike Clevinger, while the home side goes with the erratic Francisco Lirirano.

The pitchers: Clevinger is so far 7-6 with a 3.43 ERA. He most recently gave up two runs on four walks and four hits while striking out seven in a 5-0 loss to Texas on Sunday. Clevinger enters this one with a top-notch 125:44 K/BB and note that he's been particularly effective on the road by going 4-3 with a 2.62 ERA.

Liriano is so far 3-5 with a 4.73 ERA. He most recently gave up three runs off six hits with three walks over 4.2 innings in a loss. To go along with his poor ERA, Liriano also has a poor 1.43 WHIP and only 69 strikeouts over 83.2 frames of work.

The pick: Take it for what you will as well, but Cleveland is 24-10 (+4.8 units) in its last 24 as a road favorite of -175 or more, while Detroit is just 5-11 in its last 16 as a home dog of +175 or more. I'm banking on Clevinger getting back into the win column here. Lay the price.
