(MLB) Cincinnati vs. Washington,
Money Line: -176.00 Washington (Home)
Result: Push
The set-up: This series features a few interesting match-ups on the mound and this is definitely one of them in my opinion. For a number of different reasons though, I think the home side is well worth the price of admission. The visitors send Anthony DeSclafani to the hill, while the home side goes with Gio Gonzalez.

The pitchers: DeSclafani is so far 4-3 with a 5.47 ERA. He most recently gave up three runs off five hits with two walks in a no-decision to the Phillies over 4.1 frames of work. Over his last three starts DeSclafani has given up 12 runs spanning 12 innings of work.

Gonzalez is so far 6-7 with a 3.78 ERA. He most recently gave up one run off three hits and four walks while striking out four in a no-decision against Miami on Saturday. It was a big step in the right direction for Gonzalez after a shaky stretch and he'll now look to improve upon his very respectable 3-2, 3.09 ERA record at home so far.

The pick: No upsets here in my opinion. Gonzalez had struggled until his most recent effort, so we don't have to question his focus coming into this one. And that in my opinion will be more than enough to get the better of his floundering counterpart. Lay the price, play on the Nationals.
