Rogers' Wednesday WIPEOUT (AL Wild Card) >> 3-0 Start to October!
(MLB) Oakland vs. NY Yankees,
Money Line: -167.00 NY Yankees (Home)
Result: Win
The set-up: New York sends its ace Luis Severino to the mound to seal the deal in this AL Wild Card game, while the A's turn to Liam Hendricks. Severino started the season on fire, but he then cooled considerably in the second half. However, it was still his best overall campaign by far and I think he'll come in cool, calm and collected in front of the home town crowd. The pressure is clearly on Hendricks.

The pitchers: Hendricks is 0-1 with a 4.13 ERA. The A's don't have a No. 1 guy, so they'll be getting the job done today by committee. Hendricks appeared in 25 regular season games and as an opener in eight, posting a respectable 2.08 ERA in those outings.

Severino finished the regular season 19-8 with a 3.39 ERA. He was 10-2 with a 2.74 ERA at home. He gave up one run and five hits over six innings in a win over the A's back on May 13th.

The pick: The Yanks' line-up is ridiculous and I think this is a match-up which clearly favors the big boppers from The Big Apple. Look for New York to build on its 44-28 (+7 units) record this year against winning teams.
