The set-up: Florida is 0-2 and this is its final home game before a difficult road trip which sees it in Philadelphia and Washington. The Panthers will be leaving everything they have on the ice tonight to break into the win column and they fortunately catch a Canucks team that comes to town complacent after their upset 4-1 win at Tampa on Thursday. And with a game at Pittsburgh on Monday, followed by a trip to Winnipeg to end its trip, I absolutely expect Vancouver to also get caught "looking ahead" here.

The pick: Take it for what you will as well, but Florida is 7-3 in its last ten home games off a loss and as a favorite in the -125 to -200 range. Considering all of the above factors, I have no issues at all in laying this price.
