The pitchers: German (3-1, 2.37 ERA) who was bumped up to make this start because of last night's marathon 14 inning game. German has to be feeling confident here as he's jumped out to an early good start, posting the 2.37 ERA to go along with a 0.84 WHIP and 23 K's over 19 innings of work overall.

Stratton (0-1, 7.00) was lucky to earn a no-decision in his last start vs. the Mariners on Thursday, allowing six runs off seven hits over five innings. Over 18 innings Stratton has now allowed 14 earned runs leaving him with a horrible 2.00 WHIP.
