The set-up: I think that Tanner Roark and the home side are well worth the price of admission in this matchup. The visitors counter with the volatile Patrick Sandoval.

The pitchers: Sandoval (0-1, 5.24 ERA) comes in off his best start of his career, shutting out the Rangers over five innings last Wednesday. Previous to that he'd posted a 6.75 ERA.

Roark (8-8, 4.04) is undefeated in Oakland this year, having beaten St. Louis, Houston and the Yankees. And despite being 0-1 vs. the Angels lifetime, note that Roark owns a minuscule 1.89 ERA in those contests.

The pick: The A's opened up this series with a 7-5 win, but I expect an even easier victory this time around. In my opinion, the home side is the correct call in this one.
