The problem arises after Canning leaves. the Angels' bullpen has been terrible of late, with an ERA in the double figures. Quantrill starts for Cleveland. It has been a lost season for him, but in his first start since May he held the Rays to 2 runs over 6 innings. When healthy, Quantrill has been a fine starter. The Guardians have had bullpen issues of their own lately, but they bounced back on Wednesday, and are generally one of the better relief corps in the league. Neither team is hitting especially well at the moment. Both starters could deliver today, but outside of an unlikely complete game from Canning, the advantage swings to the Guardians in the late innings. Take Cleveland to win on the road.
