PROVIDENCE-CREIGHTON: BIG 10* PLAY FROM ROGERS!
(NCAAB) Providence vs. Creighton,
Point Spread: -4.50 | -109.00 Creighton (Home)
Result: Push
While the pollsters still say Providence is a Top 25 team, oddsmakers seem to have a more pessimistic view of the Friars currently. They are underdogs here at Creighton. Winning on the road in College Basketball is hard. The last time Providence played on the road, it was against an unranked Marquette team and they had their doors blown off, 88-56.

Don’t expect it to get that ugly here at Creighton, but I expect another road loss for Providence, whose stay in the Top 25 is living on “borrowed time.” The Friars did bounce back from the disaster vs. Marquette by beating St. John’s on Saturday. But even then, they needed to rally in the second half after facing a halftime deficit.

Creighton hasn’t played in six days. They took it on the chin last week against Villanova. But that was only four days after a double overtime win at Marquette. Villanova is the class of the Big East, so go ahead and disregard that last result for the Bluejays. In fact, the last time Creighton played at home (12/17), they beat Villanova!

Considering Creighton won at Marquette, a place where Providence lost by 32, it’s not at all surprising to see Creighton as the favorite here. They are at home while guard A.J. Reeves is still listed as questionable for Providence.

The 41 points from Creighton in their last game were a season-low. Leading scorer Hawkins had zero points. To say you should expect an offensive resurgence here is a mild understatement. Play on CREIGHTON
