Abbott vs. Crawford on Friday and Montas vs Pivetta on Saturday. Sunday's series finale features a starter for the Reds vs a reliever for the Red Sox. That's a big advantage for the Reds. Even better, the Reds starter is Nick Lodolo and he's been dynamite. On the season, Lodolo is 8-2 with a 2.76 ERA. He has 70 strikeouts in 65 innings and a 1.01 WHIP. He's allowed 2 runs or less in 5 straight starts. After he dominated the Pirates last game, Pittsburgh manager Derek Shelton said this of Lodolo: “This guy’s one of the best left-handers in the game. The ability to throw the slider back foot to right-handers and then throw the fastball at 94 to 95 [mph], often to the inner lane of the plate -- there’s not too many guys in the game that can do that.
