The Florida Panthers are 2-1 so far on a four game road trip that will be concluded in Arizona tonight. This is the first game of a home and home and I think the Coyotes will be the team carrying the momentum to Florida with a win here.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. Special Teams - The Panthers have conceded eight goals with a man down, killing only 72% of their penalties. They have not looked good with the roles reversed either, taking advantage of only 13% of their opportunities. This is not that surprising as they were the very worst team in both categories last season. The Coyotes on the other hand have been very effective on the power play, scoring six goals over six games with a 27% success rate.

2. Mike Smith - The 32 year old veteran has had a tough start to the season, but certainly did what his part in the 2-0 loss at Minnesota on Thursday, saving 27 of 29 shots. He could be up for another strong performance tonight as he has dominated the Panthers over the last five meetings, going 4-0-1 with a 1.67 GAA.

3. X-factor - The Coyotes have won three straight meetings versus Florida.
