The Coach's Center Ice Report - 7:00 PM Start
(NHL) Florida vs. Philadelphia,
Money Line: -164.00 Philadelphia (Home)
Result: Win
The Philadelphia Flyers started the season with three home losses, but have since won three consecutive games at Wells Fargo Center. The Florida Panthers are undefeated in regulation time on the road, but have dropped their last two by the same score (2-1) in overtime and I think the home team will get revenge for a 2-1 loss previously this season tonight.

Here are my keys to the game:

1. The Panthers Toothless Offense - There hasn't been much bite in this Florida team offensively this season as they average only 1.5 goals per game for a 29th ranking in the league. Only Calgary and Buffalo are shooting less, and it's hard to score if you don't even try to put the puck in the net. Perhaps we should not be too surprised though, only one team scored less goals than the Panthers in the 2013-2014 season and they failed to bring in the offensive players they needed during the off-season.

2. Steve Mason - The 26 year old Canadian has not had the best start of the season going 1-4-1 behind a 3.16 GAA. His last start was promising though, saving 35 of 36 shots fired at him in the 4-1 win against the Oilers on Tuesday, and I like his chances of building on that performance tonight as he is 6-2-0 behind 1.62 GAA against the Panthers.

3. X-factor - Jakub Voracek is leading the Flyers with five goals and 18 points. He scored twice his last game and is looking to stay hot here.

Selection: This is a play on the Philadelphia Flyers (8*)
