Padres over Pirates- Things have not gone as expected with the Pirates as they are one of the better hitting teams in the NL and their 'ace' Ivan Nova has not pitched like a No. 1 starter. Nova hasn't won since April 15 and las allowed 14 earned runs in his last three starts. Still, Pittsburgh has won eight of their last nine and will face San Diego's Tyson Ross (2-3, 3.40 ERA) who has 53 strikeouts in 48 innings. In pitching comparison Nova has surrendered 60 hits in 50 innings while Ross has given up just 37 hits in 48 innings. Take SAN DIEGO!
