Hokies (+) over Tar Heels- This ACC match-up has a surprising twist in that North Carolina is seeded 14 in a play-in game in their own conference tournament. Virginia Tech seeded 11 enters a game over the break-even mark (16-15) while the Tar Heels are at 13-18 on the season. The Hokies have lost eight of their last 10 while Carolina is 3-7 ATS in their last 10 overall. What bothers me here is that Tech not only has the better record but they have defeated the Tar Heels 79-77 in overtime as a 7-point favorite already this season. Now, UNC is favored and they have struggled in that role going 4-14 ATS and the underdog is 6-2 ATS in the past eight meetings. Take VIRGINIA TECH!
