Minnesota at Detroit 1:00 ET
Lions (+) over Vikings- Okay, what’s going on? The 5-7 Detroit Lions are the home favorites (-1.5 at this time) against the 10-2 Division leading Vikings. That seems a bit odd and so much so that it has attracted the attention of those outside the point spread genre, meaning that they are think more in terms of Vegas and what the numbers mean. The Lions have covered five straight while Minnesota was out-gained by 200 yards last week by the Jets and still managed (to my chagrin) to cover. But, the way to go in this one is to play the OVER as they have the two worst defenses in the NFL allowing 402 YPG by Detroit and 399 YPG allowed by Minnesota! Still, numbers don’t lie...take DETROIT!
