Ohioans over Royals- Right now Vegas has Set Lugo (9-1,1.72 ERA) as the Cy Young favorite and with his number we can understand why. With those outstanding stats if seem odd that he is not the favorite. Cleveland will start in inconsistent Triston McKenzie (2-3, 3.77) who has surrendered 11 home runs in 11 starts. He has gone seven starts without a win going 0-1 and hasn’t posted a victory since April 19 and it isn’t that he has pitched poorly as the former Tribesman are 6-1 in those outings. Lugo has received an average run support of 5.79 during his 2024 road starts.  Lugo will make his first career start at Cleveland, where the Guardians have averaged 7.8 runs while posting a 20-7 record this season.
