Tigers over Red Sox- Hard to believe that this is the first time these two have ever met in the post season but wild card playoffs are rather recent in MLB lore. The 'numbers' say that the Tigers are in trouble as Boston has won 36 of the last 51 meeting at Fenway, and they are 49-19 in their last 69 games as a favorite. The Tigers will counter with Anibal Sanchez (15-8, 2.57 ERA) who led the AL in ERA and is coming off a poor outing against Oakland. Look for Anibal to bounce back and Detroit to shock the Red Sox.
