Fighting Irish (-) over Scarlet Knights- The Scarlet Knights had to salvage their season with a 31-6 win over weakling South Florida in their final game to become bowl eligible at 6-6. Both clubs will be without a number of coaches two of which left Notre Dame for better jobs and three at Rutgers their defensive coordinator, quarterbacks coach and defensive line coach all where fired after the regular season. Notre Dame is a far cry from last year's championship caliber club but they are more then one-step about Rutgers. The Irish played one of toughest schedules in the country and were beaten by Oklahoma and Stanford the likes of which the Knight haven't faced...till today. The difference in 'class' will be obvious from the on-set. Take NOTRE DAME!
