Phillies over Rangers- Last year was a bust for both these clubs as the Phillies ended under .500 and the Rangers who failed to make the playoffs for the first time since 2009. Texas made a splash in the free agent market getting Prince Fielder and Shin-Soo Choo but have been hit with injuries during the spring. Philadelphia is much healthier this season as Chase Utley, Ryan Howard and Ben Revere are all back in action. Cliff Lee (14-8, 2.87 ERA) gets the Opening Day start for the Phillies and is 7-3 lifetime against the Rangers while Tanner Scheppers (6-2, 1.88) gets his first career start after 115 relief appearances.
