I like the NY Yankees to stay red hot against the Texas Rangers in Arlington. The Yankees are small road favorites, mainly because they have the better pitcher on the mound, Alex Rodriguez is back in the lineup after a day off on Sunday, and they have massive revenge on their minds.

The Rangers, in New York, swept the Yankees over three games earlier this year and New York, who is currently playing better right now, will come out to take this first game more than they would in most series.

Ivan Nova (2-3, 3.34 ERA) isn't getting the same run support that Nathan Eovaldi gets, but he's still pitching well enough to be better than 2-3 since his return from Tommy John surgery. He snapped a three-start losing streak by beating Baltimore last Wednesday by allowing two earned runs on three hits over six innings in the one-run win. He's allowed three or fewer runs in four of his five starts since coming back off the DL, and if he keeps that up today, the Yankees should have no problem getting the W.

The offense is starting to produce and the bullpen should be fresh after barely needing to be used in Sunday's 7-2 win over the Twins.
