In this matchup I am going against the Seattle Mariners. The Texas Rangers have quietly played some decent baseball this season and are 7-3 their last 10 games and actually a better team on the road then at home.

The Rangers showed their serious about winning this year with the big addition of tonight's starter Cole Hamels at last weeks trade deadline. Hamels is a proven top-notch starter who carries the big edge here of facing a Mariners offense for the first time this season. This is a huge advantage for any left-handed pitcher and especially a veteran one as crafty as Hamels and I'll back him and the Rangers here on Friday night as Texas is only 2 games back in the Wild Card.
