John Lackey's ERA is considerably higher on the road (4.40) than it is at home (1.97). He is a totally different pitcher on the road and struggles. Arizona starter Patrick Corbin has an advantage here at home and also none of the STL batters have ever faced him. He is just 4-14 in his road starts since joining STL in August of 2014.



You may just remember that Corbin had quite a 2013 season for Arizona. He won the NL Pitcher of the Month Award for May 2013, after he had a 5–0 record and 1.53 ERA in five games started. He was named an All-Star, as he had an 11–1 record with a 2.35 ERA, which was third-best in the NL at the break. He finished the season 14-8 with a 3.41 ERA but more impressively saw Arizona go 23-9 in his starts, giving him MLB's 7th-best moneyline mark at plus-$1,145.
Arizona is 16-2 in its last 18 games when hitting a home run and did not hit a HR last night.
