The Thundering Herd have a very solid defense that is geared to stop the run, and that's the key to the Buffalo offense. It's an old angle but one that remains tried and true. Backing bowl dogs that own a 2:1 rushing yards ratio has been a very strong winner going back roughly 20 years.

I love Marshall as an underdog in this game. Sure, the Thundering Herd did not have their best finish to the season, but they have one of the best defenses in college football and one of the better young QB's. I expect them to bounce back and do what they normally do in bowl games and that is WIN!
