10* College Game of the Week
(NCAAB) Ohio vs. Virginia,
Point Spread: -7.00 | -110.00 Virginia (Home)
Result: Loss
Ohio is one of those teams that everyone jumps on because they pass the eye test for a Cinderella story. They were only the fifth seed in the MAC Tournament and yet blew through it, winning by an average of 14 points, all against higher seeded teams. Virginia is a different animal though who is extremely well-coached and have played phenomenal defense since Bennett arrived in 2009. As good as the Bobcats have been, the Cavaliers have also played well, coming into this game on a three game winning streak. Between the two teams, one of them plays in a power conference and the other is Ohio. The MAC is a solid mid-major, but it is not the ACC where the Cavaliers finished with the best record and ranked 15th overall in the AP Top 25. Preston is going to run into the best defense he's faced this season and Virginia is going to shut down the rest of the team. Bennett is as experienced as they come in tournament games and he'll have his guys prepared for this.
