Rutgers takes on Houston in the second round of the NCAA Tournament here on Sunday.

Rutgers came out on top of Clemson 60-56 in the first round and have to feel good about the work they put in to advance as a lower seed. The Scarlet Knights had three starters score in double figures and played stifling defense to come away with a four-point win despite shooting only 26.7% from three point range and scoring 60 points, nearly ten points below their season average.

Houston comfortably took care of business as a two seed by polishing off Cleveland 87-56 in order to advance to the second round. The Cougars played their entire roster in this blowout win and had six players score in double figures.


We are taking Rutgers as they have shown great improvement since the middle of January, going 9-5 straight up and ATS. The Scarlet Knights have a very experienced team. Their top six players are either juniors or seniors. Rutgers is 16th in the nation in defensive efficiency. The Scarlet Knights can keep this one close.
