The Phoenix Suns will be full of confidence after making a statement in their gritty win over the Lakers in the series opener. Devin Booker came ready to play as he led the team with 34 points, seven rebounds and eight assists, DeAndre Ayton needed to have a big game and he delivered with 21 points and 16 rebounds on 10 of 11 shooting while playing great defense against the Lakers’ Anthony Davis.
As a team, the Suns shot 46% from the field and 9 of 28 from the 3-point line but this win was about their defense as they kept the two-headed monster of James and Davis quiet all game  The Lakers got bullied by the Suns in the opener of this series on Sunday as the 99-90 final score was actually a little flattering considering the outcome was never really in doubt. I like the SUNS here at home to grab another win led by Booker and Chris Paul.
