Braves starter Drew Smyly will be pitching with two extra days of rest when he makes his third start of the season against the Nationals. The lefty has surrendered just one homer while allowing two earned runs over 12 innings vs. Washington this year. For Washington, the offense is inconsistent, but most importantly Lester will be pitching on short rest, which seems like a risky move given the veteran's age and the fact that he's coming back from injury.
