Chicago has dominated Minnesota of late, winning each of the last four played at home against the Twins and six of the last seven overall against Minnesota. The Twins have struggled on the road against an opponent that has a record above .500, losing 10 of the last 14.
I think Monday’s postponement might benefit Chicago here. The White Sox have been reeling a bit over the last 10 games, so a day off could be a good thing for rest and to get back on track. Minnesota has been playing better of late, which means a day off could only be harmful. I am also concerned about Maeda after having his starts pushed back twice now. Pitchers are creatures of habit, especially when that pitcher is a veteran like Maeda. He is having his routine interrupted and now has to face one of the best lineups in baseball with the White Sox in Chicago.
