The Flames have lost both their games to start the season. Their last game was a 3-2 overtime loss against the Anaheim Ducks on Monday night. Johnny Gaudreau had two assists. Blake Coleman and Elias Lindholm each scored a goal. Jacob Markstrom stopped 24 out of 27 shots faced.
The offense was fairly average for the Flames last season. The Flames are well rested and should come out strong here on Thursday and get a win over the Red Wings who are improved but not quite on the scale with Calgary.
