The Valparaiso Beacons (7-6) will host the Illinois State Redbirds (8-6) on Sunday in a Missouri Valley Conference matchup. In the conference Preseason Poll, Valparaiso was selected to finish seventh, and Illinois State was slated last out of 10 teams.

Illinois St was picked last in the MVC and we are laying a fair price vs the Redbirds who have one road win (vs #349 Chicago St) especially as they are without 3Y starting PG Mark Freeman who severely sprained his ankle on Wednesday and may also be without Howard Fleming who missed previous 6 games. Valpo has had their number over the years and I expect them to win and cover here again on their home court Sunday afternoon.
