The Rangers are coming off a big and emotional Game Seven win. The Lightning are well-rested and ready to make a statement in the first game of the series. They average 3.27 goals per game, should pile on the goals with Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos, and the rest of the forward unit establishing a strong offensive zone presence and creating open shots with great puck movement while Victor Hedman opens up the offense from the point. The Lightning, who allowed only three goals in the previous series, should also limit the Rangers' offense with Victor Hedman, Erik Cernak, and the rest of the defensive unit controlling the center of the defensive zone.
