Both teams are in the middle of the pack in the ACC this season. With their new HC Duke has struggled this season and has scored under 70 points in four straight games recently. SYR HC Boeheim moved Malik Brown into the starting lineup which means Syracuse now starts three freshmen (Judah Mintz and Chris Bell). Boeheim has also recognized Mintz is by far their best player along with Joe Girard who has really stepped up as a leader on this team, the senior was benched earlier this year due to poor play but has bounced back in a big way and now leads Syracuse in scoring at 17 points per game. His ability to knock down the outside shot has really opened things up for Syracuse offensively and the results have been noticeable as Syracuse has won three straight will have played their way back into the bubble conversation if they can win here.
