These two teams did meet this season in the Maui Invitational, the then No. 2 Boilermakers taking a 10-point victory as -5 favorites. Purdue's big-guy Edey has fared well against the Bulldogs in the past, going for 25 points and 14 rebounds in Maui and 23 points and seven rebounds the year prior. Gonzaga does not have an equal for the Purdue center and that is a big problem. The Boilermakers are looking like a team determined to reverse the fortunes of last season and playing their best ball of the season. This isn't the same Gonzaga team's as past and not as talented.
