I am taking the Pittsburgh Pirates to win at home on Wednesday afternoon over the Miami Marlins. The Marlins have been an absolute train wreck all season long and are currently tied for the worst record in the National League. Their lineup ranks around the Chicago White Sox, who may be the worst team of all time and lacks any individual stars as well. The Pirates have not been great this seaso, but they have been much better than Miami and have gotten hot of late winning 5 of their last 8 and seeing their bats heat up as they have scored 6 runs more per game during this stretch so we are liking the Pirates here on Wednesday afternoon.
