After breaking out offensively to end their lengthy slide, the Indians try for an eighth consecutive home win over the White Sox on Saturday night. Cleveland (12-17) batted .183, struck out 45 times and was outscored 33-13 during an 0-6 trip against San Francisco and the Los Angeles Angels, but pounded out 13 hits in a 12-5 rout of Chicago on Friday. The Indians have hit .303 while outscoring the White Sox 46-23 in their last seven at home. The Indians have just owned the WhiteSox and Justin Masterson is ready and I expect the team and him to be fully motivated in a must win series. Look for the Indians bats to explode the Cleveland to get a big win.
KENTUCKY DERBY:

The lightly-raced colt flashed his great late speed winning the Wood Memorial, which was one of the most impressive performances on the road to the Kentucky Derby. Big Brown won the Derby from post No. 20. Wicked Strong had a perfect trip off the speed and kicked it into high gear at the 8th pole. Wicked Strong's most recent Final Pace Figure was 80.3, the fastest Final Pace Figure of all Derby starters. WS continued his big step forward over the last three races from 69.6 (final on 1/25/14) to 75.4 (2/22/14) to 80.3 in the Wood. This 10.7 point jump over the course of three races is significant and could likely indicate a horse nearing or on a top. We are backing WICKED STRONG across the board and playing it to Win-Place-Show at 8-1 odds.
