Seattle Mariners -1.5 (-120)
(MLB) Washington vs. Seattle,
Point Spread: -1.50 | -120.00 Seattle (Home)
Result: Win
This is the kind of trap game that Seattle has to overcome if they want to snap their playoff drought. We saw the Mariners drop two of three on the road against Oakland to close a six-game trip through California 4-2 but they have a thin margin for error in the playoff picture. That's why taking advantage of a Washington team with little to play for but pride is a necessity for Seattle. Robbie Ray is on the hill for the Mariners here and he gets a shot at a weak Nationals' lineup. Meanwhile, Washington sends Erick Fedde to the hill and he's been tagged for 15 runs on 24 hits with 12 walks and nine strikeouts over 18 innings in his last four starts. Posting a WHIP of two and an ERA of 7.50 in your last four starts isn't going to inspire confidence, especially with a thinned out lineup. The Mariners should get the bats going to help carry them to a victory here in one-sided fashion.
