Miami Marlins -160
(MLB) Pittsburgh vs. Miami,
Money Line: -160.00 Miami (Home)
Result: Loss
The Pirates have had their moments this season but playing on the road hasn’t been their strong suit in 2022. Pittsburgh is just 15-27 on the road this season and they have had issues putting runs on the board as the visiting team. The Pirates entered Sunday 28th in the majors in runs per game overall (3.62 per game) and, while the ranking remains the same on the road, their average drops to 3.26 runs per contest. While Mitch Keller started June strong, he’s faded since, going 0-1 with a 7.20 ERA, a 2.00 WHIP, six walks, 16 strikeouts and allowed a .435 on-base percentage over 15 innings. He’s 2-2 with a 5.80 ERA, a 1.68 WHIP, 18 walks and 34 strikeouts over 35.2 innings of work on the road. While Trevor Rogers has been anything but stellar, the fact remains that the Marlins have been fairly productive at home offensively. Miami has a .257/.324/.424 slash line at home while averaging a healthy 4.54 runs per game at LoanDepot Park. Seeing the Pirates with their putrid .212/.275/.358 road slash line, you have to lean toward the hosts here, especially with the momentum of splitting a four-game set with the Mets in the Big Apple.
