(MLB) Pittsburgh vs. Miami,
Money Line: -178.00 Miami (Home)
Result: Win
Pittsburgh drew first blood on Monday night behind a surprisingly good start from Mitch Keller. Here, they send JT Brubaker to the hill looking to earn a road victory. The problem for the Bucs is that Brubaker has struggled this season as his numbers bear out. He's 1-1 with a 5.29 ERA, a 1.65 WHIP, seven walks and 18 strikeouts over 17 innings of work in his last three starts. Brubaker has been awful on the road, going 0-6 with a 4.32 ERA, a 1.48 WHIP, 23 walks and 52 strikeouts over 50 innings with just two quality starts in 10 outings. Throw in that the Pirates are 28th in runs per game (3.69) this season and 27th in road scoring (3.41 runs) and things get bleaker. Miami sends Pablo Lopez to the mound, who comes in off a win on the road over the Mets in his last start. Lopez is 3-1 with a 2.41 ERA, a 0.98 WHIP, 12 walks and 43 strikeouts over 41 innings in seven starts. It's tough to have faith in the Pirates in this one as Lopez outduels Brubaker to deliver the victory for the hosts.
