This is a 10* ASSASSIN on SMU.

The Mustangs are coming off a 10-3 winning seasona and they averaged 42 points last year. The SMU offense produced 73 TD's.

The Bobcats finished 3-9 for a second straight year last season. The Bobcats lost this game 47-17 last year and I think an even bigger blowout is in the cards tonight.

SMU's top two RB's from last year are gone, but senior QB Shane Buechele is back and last year he complete 62.7 percent of his passes and had 34 TD strikes, which was tied for second in teh country. I expect Buechele to air this ball out early and often vs. a Texas State team which has a new QB under center in Brady McBride, who has made 14 total pass attempts in his college career.

The Mustangs are 6-0 ATS in their last six vs. the Sun Belt, while the Bobcats are a poor 1-4 ATS in their last five "Week 1" matchups.

I like SMU to open up the season with a big win over Texas State in Week 1!
