This is an 8* MONDAY TOTAL on the OVER Bruins/Capitals.
I had a play on the OVER in Game 1, and these teams had four goals after two periods. Alas, it wasn't meant to be though as neither team scored in the third period, it was then decided in OT and the total stayed UNDER the number.
Boston has seen the total go OVER in eight of its last 11 in trying to revenge a loss vs. an opponent in which it was held to two or less goals in.
The Capitals weren't great down the stretch of the NHL season on the defensive end, instead they just outscored their opposition. Admittedly, they looked pretty good on the defensive end in Game 1, but note that Washington has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 12 home games as a favorite in the -105 to -145 range.
Boston can't afford to sit back and wait for Washington to make the first mistake. I expect a wide-open game, one where this total flies well OVER before its done.
