The Reds have been playing to some lower-scoring affairs of late, but I think that changes here.
The Brewers managed the 5-3 win in yesterday's opener, and while that total stayed UNDER, everything finally points to more of a "slug-fest" on Friday night.
The Reds go with Wade Miley (6-4, 3.06 ERA) who gave up two runs off ten hits over six innings in what turned out to be a no-decision to the Cubs.
Miley benefited from his defense turning three different double plays though.
Eric Lauer (3-3, 4.11) picked up his third win of the year against the Pirates on Saturday, giving up one run over six innings.
Still, Lauer has struggled of late as well, as he owns a 5.40 ERA and pedestrian 29:17 K:BB across his last six starts.
I think the stage is set for some offensive fireworks. Look for these starting pitchers to exit early and for this total to fly OVER sooner, rather than later.
