I had a play on the OVER in yesterday's contest and that came up just short in the Yankees' 5-4 victory.

The first three games of this four games series have all fallen UNDER the number. Seattle's actually seen the total go UNDER in five straight.

Yusei Kikuchi is 7-6 with a 3.89 ERA. He gave up two runs over six innings in a win over the Rays in his last outing. This is the finale of a ten-game road trip for Seattle, and it's 3-6 so far. Unfortunatley though, Kikuchi has struggled agasint the Yankees throughout his career, going a poor 1-2 with a 5.94 ERA in three career matchups.

New York goes with rookie Luis Gil, who is 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA. After pitching six scoreless over the Orioles in his debut, I just can't help but think that regression is in order here.

New York has seen the total go OVER in eight of its last 11 after playing to three or more straight UNDERS in a row as well.

The Yanks have an opportunity to sweep a four-game series from the Mariners for the first time ever. Seattle though is out to avoid the sweep and end its road trip on a high note.

Everything points to this one going OVER the number.
