This is a 10* MAC TOTAL OF THE YEAR on the OVER Akron/Bowling Green.

These will be two highly motivated teams on Saturday. Akron is 1-4 and Bowling Green is 2-3.

The Zips are off a 34-17 loss to Ohio. DJ Irons has been decent, completely nearly 69 percent of his passes for 797 yards, five touchdowns and three interceptions.

Bowling Green fans can empathize, as they're off a 27-20 loss to Kent State. QB Matt McDonald has 1,149 passing yards, three TD's and three picks.

These are two of the worst teams in the MAC, but neither has thrown in the towel yet on their respective seasons.

It's also interesting to note that Akron has seen the total go OVER the number in eight of its last 11 after allowing 30 or more points in a SU/ATS loss in its last outing, while Bowling Green has seen the total OVER nine of its last 12 after playing to five or more straight UNDERS in a row (all five of the Falcons opening games have indeed fallen UNDER the number.)

Look for these two hungry sides to battle to a slightly higher-scoring affair.
