This is the first real test for both teams. We need to take their early season numbers with a "grain of salt."

Ron Harper Jr. had 20 points in the Scarlet Knights' most recent 75-61 win over NJIT.

DePaul got 22 points from Javon Freeman in its 99-66 win over Central Michigan in the Blue Demons most recent victory.

This is a classic matchup of strength vs. strength. The Scarlet Knights are only conceding 55.3 poings per game, while the Blue Demons have averaged 98.0 PPG.

As I said above though, these early season numbers are skewed for both teams due to the level of competition so far.

I think the Blue Demons are about to be in for a shock here though facing their first real defense, one of the better ones in the country.

Look for RUTGERS to grind out a win and cover before it's all said and done.
