FAN APPRECIATION TOTAL (HOUSE MONEY MLB YTD!)
(MLB) San Diego vs. San Francisco,
Total: 7.50 | -119.00 Under
Result: Loss
This is an 8* SPECIAL on the UNDER Padres/Giants.

Both teams are coming off high-scoring series and games, but I'm expecting more of a "duel" here in San Francisco on Monday night.

The Padres saw two of three fly OVER the number at Kansas City over the weekend, inlcuding in their 15-7 loss yesterday. That's signficant to note in our case though, as San Diego has seen the total go UNDER the number in seven of its last ten off a road loss in which it conceded ten or more runs in.

San Francisco has lost four straight. It lost all three at Minnesota most recently over the weekend, including an 8-3 setback yesterday. Note that the Giants have seen the total go UNDER the number in six of their last eight now after playing to three or more straight losses in a row.

The Giants sit 7.5 games out of the final wild-card spot with 36 games remaining, so this is a huge series for them.

San Fran has to be feeling confident today though with ace Carlos Rodon (12-6, 2.81 ERA) on the hill. He's unbeaten over his last five starts, going 4-0 and conceding just five runs over 31 1/3's innings of work, while striking out 41. He's 1-1 with a 1.80 ERA over 15 innings vs. the Padres.

The visitors counter with Mike Clevinger (4-5, 3.59), who is 1-0 with no runs allowed spanning 13 innings vs. the Giants in his career.

Look for these two starters to garner most of the headlines in tomorrow's summaries of this contest.

The play is the UNDER.

Good luck, NP
