THE PROFESSOR’S NFL BIG BAD TOTAL BEAT-DOWN (JUST $25!)
(NFL) NY Jets vs. Indianapolis,
Total: 44.00 | -104.00 Under
Result: Win
Total: 44.00 | -104.00 Under
Result: Win
The New York Jets are facing the real chance of going 0-3 to start the season and history is not on their side as they have lost seven of their last nine road games. Nothing seems to be working for the Jets on either side of the ball. Quarterback Sam Darnold has thrown for 394 yards, to go with two touchdowns and one interception. Darnold has one or fewer touchdown passes in five of his last seven games. Jamison Crowder (OUT) and Chris Hogan have combined for 190 receiving yards and one touchdown. As a team, the jets are rushing for 78 yards a contest. Frank Gore leads the anemic rushing attack with 87 yards on 27 carries. On the defensive side, they are giving up 29 points and 381.5 yards a game.
The Indianapolis Colts surprisingly lost their first game of the season but came back last week with a win. The Colts have won five of their last seven home games. The offense is led by quarterback Philip Rivers who has thrown for 577 yards, to go with two touchdowns and three interceptions. Rivers has thrown one or fewer touchdown passes in seven of his last 11 games. Mo Alie-Cox and TY Hilton have combined for 212 receiving yards. As a team, the Colts rushing attack puts up 119.5 yards a game with Jonathon Taylor rushing for 123 yards and one touchdown. On the defensive side, they are giving up 19 points and 208 yards a game.
The under is 5-1 in the Jets last 6 games overall. The over is 7-3 in Colts last 10 games as a favorite. The New York Jets have looked pathetic and noncompetitive in their first two games. The Jets go into this game as the most injured team in the league and will be without several key players. The Colts have one of the top defenses so dar this season. I am not sure how the Jets score and Rivers doesn't put up a ton of points. I am looking for a low scoring blowout win for the Colts.
